Being Two is Tough
Wendy left Jax to play with Matthew and Jax was NOT happy. He was under the dining room table for 45 minutes. It was finally the laser remote control that did the trick. Then he was happy as a lark.
How Matthew Rolls during a jog
Matthew has learned to completely operate my phone. His favorite game is Angry Birds Space. But his favorite thing to do is watch Buzz or Cars2.
The Stage of boo boos
Matthew is definitely at a stage of boo boos and bruises. He keeps ripping off the same scab poor guy and anytime he needs some extra love he points to his skinned knees.

Singing may not his thing
Or his mom's or his dad's!! It's not a shocker that Andrew's not find of singing. During the kindergarten concert today, Andrew and two of his classmates were suppose to say/sing one line together. Well, after standing up too soon, Andrew and his friends missed their part. Andrew was furious and extremely embarassed. He told me he made two big mistakes. One he was mad at himself for, the other he blames Sara. I thought both mistakes were priceless!!

Shining Star!
Yesterday Andrew was awarded a very honorable "Shining Star" certificate at the all school assembly. What an honor! Shining Stars are handed out when students are caught being good. Andrew turned in $25 breakfast card during lunch on Thursday. I got a good call from Mrs. Hayes office and was thrilled. He was so proud and I am too!

Blast from the past
My sweet friend Jenn, who now lives in Chicago, emailed this pic to me today. She stumbled upon it as she was going through old photos. I think Andrew was three maybe four here. Soccer is really hard when you're that age! I just think the picture is so sweet!

Slugger Fever
Andrew is dying to knock the ball out of the park. It hasn't happened yet...but it's sure to before too long!
Now, to keep our cap up and out of our eyes while we are out in the field...that's our next goal.
By the way, the Cubs are ranked #1 in our division right now with 5 game winning streak. Hoping for a fun playoff season!!

Library duty - Andrew's class had a field trip today and got to wear water shirts and jeans
Playdate with Seels - day 2 of no nap means lots of tears and skinned knees:(

Easter Monday
Besides a joint appointment with Maddie and Dr Crane to determine that both Maddie and Matthew are recovering from Roseola, we had a day of play. The weather is gorgeous and Maddie stayed to play. We made a trip to Wonderwild to finish off the afternoon and then JuJu and Paul brought over yummy fajitas!

Easter Sunday
The boys had a great time hunting for eggs this morning. We then met the Mischers at the Racquet Club for lunch. Sunday naps followed and resurrection rolls and pancakes for dinner.
What a great Easter!
What a great Easter!
Take me out to the ball game
Friday night Randy took Andrew to the Astros opening game with big and little Marshall. The boys enjoyed each other and the game too!
Scary night!
Thursday evening I took Matthew out of the car from running errands and he felt like an oven. Thermometer read 104.4!! I freaked, called the doctors' answering service and threw Matthew in the tub. His temp dropped to 101 quickly and he started playing froggie! I tucked him into my bed so I could monitor him all night and he fell asleep right at 10. I took his temp again just to check and it was back up to 104! Off we were to the ER where we were checked in quickly and the rectal hospital temp registered 104.9! They gave him ibruprophen and we waited. The ER doctor said Dr. Crane was probably right and he had a sinus infection. Matthew's fever was obviously dropping because he started rearranging the ER toy closet next to our room. Nurses confirmed his temp had dropped to 102 and we were released with instruction to alternate Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hours for next 24 hours.
He has improved greatly and hasn't had fever since Friday morning. But, a rash has appeared on his torso. I'm thinking he has roseola....but we will see what Dr. Crane says tomorrow.

How quickly things can change!
This boy loves to play in his Mommy's car! He loves all the buttons, the music, dancing, even "cleaning" the windows. Does he look sick to you? Happy, energetic Matthew would be in the ER just hours later with a whopping 106.4 degree fever!! Thank God for the Memorial Mermann Children's ER and their wonderful ER pediatricians!
