We decided last minute in true Hall fashion to do our thanksgiving celebration tonight so that we could watch the Aggies and not be so rushed on Sunday to get ready for the week. We had turkey chili and chocolate chip pie for dinner. Andrew asked why we didn't have turkey since we are celebrating thanksgiving. Thank goodness I had used turkey instead of need!
On another note, I found Matthew standing at the kitchen sink singing "washa washa washa" bare baked cleaning his binky! Typical Matthew!

Inflight entertainment
Today we headed home from Malibu. Since we were already going to lose 2 hours because of the time difference, I really did not want Matthew to nap on the plane. He did such a good job, but I had to pull the tricks out of the bag. I love that he wanted me to draw "Matthew" complete with a guitar like the shirt he had on. Then he used the gels to decorate his self portrait as Santa. He is so stinking funny!

Goggle goggle said the turkey!
Today we had a great thanksgiving feast in Malibu with Millie, Duncan, and John. Matthew kept telling everyone "goggle goggle" instead of gobble gobble. It was pretty cute! Andrew made his very own pumpkin pie to serve for dessert. Duncan garnished it with homemade whipped cream. Some accidentally ended up in Andrew's mouth. We did a 300 piece puzzle, watched the parade, and just relaxed. After dessert Andrew and Matthew got in the hot tub. Then they curled up to watch Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. A pretty perfect day in my book! So much to be thankful for!

Fun with Uncle Duncan
The boys are in HOG Heaven with Uncle Duncan and John. They love the fun attention that they are getting and love being rough and tumble. They were helping make ice cream for dessert. Unfortunately it ended up being more like much. But, it's process and not product that's important, right?
Park Fun
Today we grabbed a jumbo sized pizza and a salad and headed to a park to enjoy the beautiful California sun. The park had so many different types of old fashioned equipment that you dont really see anymore. The boys had so much fun using their imaginations am it was so fun to watch!
Coloring with my boys
I love being out in Malibu because I get to enjoy the small things with my boys that the hustle and bustle of Houston doesn't allow for. It's so much easier to play, go to the park, color, do puzzles, discover the outdoors, watch a movie and just be lazy. I think everyone needs a break like this to remember the small important things in life.

Texans Game
Amongst all the birthday parties this weekend, we squeezed in a Texans game. Matthew at first said it was too loud, but by the second quarter he was yelling "first down" with the rest of the crowd!
Oma's birthday
We celebrated Oma's birthday at lunch on Saturday at the Racquet Club. The weather was really nice for most of lunch, and then we moved the party indoors.
Dinner of Champions
After baseball tonight, Julie and Maddie met us for dinner at the food court at Memorial City Mall where everyone can have their hearts desire for food....well maybe! Afterward we to a spin on the carousel.
