Christmas continues.....

Since Christmas Day was so jam packed, we didn't even have a chance to unwrap our family gifts under the tree. So Dec. 26th was like Christmas Day all over again. The boys were adorable exchanging gifts between each other and the ones that Andrew came up with on his own were priceless. I think the favorite gift was the one Daddy used his iPad to show Andrew. He bought him seats to the Michael Jackson Cirque de Solie show in February.
Matthew enjoying one of his new puzzles. This boy loves him some puzzles
Matthew's gift to Andrew - a remote control match box car.
This was a gift from Andrew to his daddy. It contained a sweet note inside.
Andrew's gift to Matthew - a dinosaur that I think Andrew secretly wanted.
This boy was crawling out of his skin to open presents.
Randy showing Andrew his gift to him...tickets to Michael Jackson show.
The room was THICK with LOVE!! Wish I could freeze these moments.

Christmas 2011

Santa made a stop at our house and drop off a toy or two...ha! After looking through all the loot and taking Lightening McQueen and the Razor go cart for a spin we said goodbye to Oma, Poppa, and Emily and headed over to Millie's house for breakfast a presents. It was so fun watching the boys tear into all their loot. Millie serves her famous eggs Benedict and milk punch. At 1:30 we headed home for a quick nap only to be back at Millie's at 2:30 for lunch. We hung around Millie's house all afternoon u til our eyelids could not stand it anymore. It was a magical day filled with love an joy. What a blessing to celebrate our Savior's birthday with so much fun!

Christmas Eve 2011

We went to the 5:00 family service at church and both boys did a really good job. It was so cute watching Matthew interact during the service and folding his hands to pray and Andrew so eagerly wanting communion.
Following church we went over to No's house for dinner and presents with the Mischers. The cousins had a rocking good time together.
Oma, Poppa, and Em came to spend the night and arrived right as we put the finishing touching on our Christmas Eve night routine. Andrew sprinkled carrots on the back porch and put out a cookie and milk for Santa. Matthew got ahold of the cookie before Santa though.
It was almost 10:00 before my boys had visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads!!

Happy Birthday Poppa!

We celebrated dad's birthday last night with beef stew and chocolate chip pie! We all enjoyed watching the children interact with one another. They are at such a fun stage!
Matthew couldn't resist the cake. As soon as he saw it he was ready to sing Happy Birthday and EAT cake.

Maddie and Matthew admiring the cake.
Matthew helping Poppa blow out the candles.
Maddie trying to figure out what this is all about.

It is beginning to smell alot like Christmas

After braving the mall to get a pic wuth Santa, we had a baking day and both boys joined in the fun!
Matthew was trying to eat chocolate chips using a measuring spoon and that kept him entertained for almost an hour! Andrew worked on his letter to Santa. Better late than never. Included on his list: $100, remote control car, new tennis shoes, fake tongue, prank package of gum, and a dog (ha!)!!

Spreading Christmas cheer

We delivered milk punch and chocolate chip pie to some friends and family today. We made a pit stop at JuJu and Paul's house and then came home to deliver cokes to the garbage men. What a fun day!!

RSV attacks the snowman

Well, Dr. Crane confirmed that the snowman was taking a beating. Matthew has RSV. Antiobiotics and breathing treatments will hopefully get him back up to speed before Christmas.
On another note...Andrew called me to come look at his elf this morning. He told me that he was holding his hands like he is carrying baby Jesus. Love that kid and truly hope the REAL meaning of Christmas is sinking in!

102.4 vs Mr. Snowman

Matthew has caught yet ANOTHER cold. Poor guys has had such a rough winter. Upping the vitamin C and praying for healthy children for Christmas.
Edited at 10 PM: The snowman must have found his magic hat because a burst of energy came later this evening. Glad to know Matthew's funny self is starting to peek through this nasty cold.

Birthday Fun

Today was Mariah's 4th birthday party. She had Curly and Daisy come do balloons and face paint at the Racquet Club. Nicholas and Andrew got a little carried away with it! Poor Matthew has another cold and wasn't able to make the party. So, when Andrew walked in with an Elmo balloon for him, he was scared to death! He wasn't sure what had happened to his brother.
