Little memories

I wish I had an iPhone when Andrew was smaller and understood how to record memories in a blog. This is one I don't want to forget. Right now when Matthew goes to bed, he always walks along the headboard of his bed and tries to spell his name. He is getting better and better. He has the M A and W down. Just a few more to go!  Love these sweet moments!

Swim

Andrew and Matthew had a lesson at the Racquet Club and so we stayed a little for free swim after it was over. A cute girl walked up and said, "Hi Andrew!"  Andrew was flattered and said hello back. It was his lunch buddy from kindergarten a first grade, Catherine!  They were so cute!  I loved watching them giggle together and have fun. It's not often that Andrew is comfortable enough around girls to relax and enjoy their company!
Afterward the boys and I grabbed lunch and then made a couple of our stops. One to Academy where the boys felt like they needed skateboards and then to Whole Foods. Matthew was a ham and kept taking his shirt off. Errands during the summer are going to be so fun!!
Then came the dreaded allergy shot. Andrew was not happy and Matthew was on his side trying to persuade me not to take him to get his shot. Afterward, once Matthew saw how upset Andre was, Matthew was upset with me. He told me to NEVER let Andrew get a shot again. I was such a bad mommy!
I do love how the boys take up for each other....sometimes:)

Memorial Day 2013

After cleaning out the garage we headed to Oma and Poppa's to swim and grill burgers. The weather was lovely and the cousins had a blast.

Memorial Day trip to the ranch

We headed to the ranch on our first day of summer. No and Millie were there and we had such a good time. The weather was really nice and we enjoyed some rides through the ranch. Andrew has gotten to be a good EZ go driver as long as he avoids the fresh patties. He hit one today and splattered poo on my shoe... Yuck!  Matthew enjoyed the big truck and he had Randy follow behind us today. He has started a new deal where he runs up the hill each time we return to the house. The boy is fast and has a ton of endurance.

School's OUT for summer!!

Today was Andrea's last day of first grade and Mrs. Masini. It is bitter-sweet because this has been a fantastic year, but it also means that my baby is growing up.
After a class party and early dismissal, Andrew and his best buds met at the Racquet Club and swam for 6 hours!  It was a nice kick off to the summer for moms and kids the same!
Hello SUMMER!!!

This was Andrew on his last day of first grade!

Andrew received the Spanish award for the second year in a row!

Sweet dreams prayers

In Matthews prayers for the last few weeks, he has said "make poppa and juju feel better" after we say amen.
Tonight I went in to kiss Matthew after he had fallen asleep and I said "goodnight angel" and he rolled over and said "make poppa and juju feel better" and fell right back to sleep.
Know that Matthew even prays for his poppa and his juju in his sleep;)

Turtle Hunt on Matthew's 1st Day of Summer

Today we met Julie, Maddie, and Molly for a turtle hunt/hike. The cool thing, besides the HUGE frog, was the black berries we discovered. Brought back sweet childhood memories.
