On the day after Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2011

We had a great day with the Hall family giving thanks. We even had a surprise last minute arrival with Uncle New Hip, Kelly, and Caroline. We enjoyed a fabulous meal, fantastic desserts, lots of cousin play time and of course an Aggie game. Unfortunately the Aggies didn't win, but it was a great game!
We are so blessed!

Repeat

We were able to enjoy a little more of what we did yesterday. But, the day started out with all four of us in bed together, watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and ordering room service (Andrew's favorite) for breakfast. Then it was off to more biking, hiking, and discovering. While Randy and Andrew went on a long bike ride, Matthew and I fed the ducks fruit loops and almonds. Matthew LOVED it! He was telling the ducks to "be nice" and to "share.". Love it.
Because Andrew spent lots of time with Randy today, the pictures are Matthew heavy.
Then we loaded up and headed home to get ready for Thanksgiving.
We really enjoyed Lost Pines especially because the wether was fabulous and it wasn't crowded AT all. We hope to make it back soon!

Lost Pines

This morning had a play date at Bendwood Park with matthew's cute CDI class. We saw so many friends and neighbors and I was able to meet two new moms from Matthews class Julie and Maddie even came and met us! Wendy took the boys I pick up Chick fil a so I could finish packing. Once we ate, we hit the road just in time for naps!!!
We made it to Lost Pines very quickly. It helps to have two sleeping boys. Once here both boys were in heaven. These city boys jumped on their bikes and took off! Biking led to the water and the water led to getting wet! The boys had so much fun we didn't care they didn't have their swim suits. The weather was so much nicer than it was this morning at the park in Houton. We were melting in Houston, but it was gorgeous here. After we got bathed and re-dressed we went to dinner. The boys were so good at dinner we stopped at the country store afterward. Andrew had ice cream and Matthew filled a brown bag of all kinda of candy. And off we went.
I have to say, Matthew was on cloud nine here. He rode his little bike everywhere!! Down the halls, through the lobby, and up and down the hills of the walking trails. Everyone thought he was just "so cute!" And he IS...just like his older brother!!

Sunday Funday

After church we had a not so yummy lunch at PF Changs. Then after Matthew napped we loaded up for some family fun. In the agenda: Edith Moore nature trails and Monkey Joes. The trails were a blast! I think Matthew and I enjoyed them the most. Then off to Monkey Joes (strike one). Let's just say it wasn't our crowd. Then off to find a fun child friendly restaurant. Strike 2- kid area closed for private party. Lupes- nope, strike 3. They closed the children's sand box. With 3 grumpy boys we were lost! Finally, mon had a plan!!! McDonalds!! Much to Randy's dismay, the boys had a blast! That's all that matters right?
Then after a good scrub down, we decorated the house for turkey day! It's about time, right?
