This morning right as we were packed up for MDO, the local weather channel issued a tornado watch. So Matthew and I hunkered down in the powder bath with a DVD player, some cars, Andrew's new lantern, and our breakfast. Matthew that is was a marvelous idea for some fun. In fact, when we were in the clear, Matthew continued to play in the powder room. I'm glad to know if we ever needed to hunker down again, Matthew would be down with it! Later Andrew shared with us that his class hunkered down in the boys restroom at school. I would much rather prefer our powder room!!
Later as the storm passed through Houston, the mailman delivered Andrew's 2nd quarter report card. It was beaming with success and it gave us a reason to celebrate over dinner. After picking Andrew up from a playdate at Seth's house, we met Randy at Benihana's, Andrew's favorite place to eat. We were a little worried about Matthew's behavior for a long meal but the dump truck and rice kept him entertained for the majority of dinner.
